Parents, caregivers and guardians are also welcome to visit Directions Teen Clinic alone or with the person they are supporting to learn more about the services and how to provide support .

Do you feel uncomfortable booking an appointment with a doctor or asking your parent or guardian about a particular topic?
Our nurses will provide you with professional, reliable advice and education on a range of different topics. It is entirely free of charge and requires no booking to attend.

Confidentiality:
Your discussion with the Directions Teen Clinic nurse is entirely confidential and you are not required to inform any other person about your visit. We do encourage that you discuss your visit and concerns with a trusted adult or General Practitioner, but this is your decision and is not required.
The nurses at Directions Teen Clinic are required by law to keep your information confidential. Details such as your name, address, date of birth and Medicare number may be collected in order to provide certain medical services.
There may be certain situations in which your personal health information must be shared with the appropriate contacts. This would only occur if the nurse suspects you may be at risk of putting yourself or someone else in danger. This is required by law in the healthcare field to prevent harm and is called mandatory reporting.
